Rachael Ray's French Toast

Here is a recipe I saw the other day on the Rachael Ray show. Love the Food Network! This recipe is for a single serving so you will have to add to it if you want to make more than one serving.

1 large egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 packet artificial sweetener
1 tbs skim milk
1 slice of bread

Place all ingredients except bread in a blender and blend. Pour mixture into a shallow bowl. Place bread in mixture and soak; turning once. Coat a nonstick skillet with vegetable cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Place bread in skillet and pour any remaining egg mixture over bread. Cook until browned on bottom. Turn over and brown on other side. Serve with syrup of your choice.

Kelly's Sleep Cookies

My sister-n-law Kelly loves to sleep. In fact I think she would write a book about sleep if she could stay awake. I am sure every dream she has now is a rerun like the Dukes of Hazzard (Lizella). How many dreams can the brain think of when you sleep 24 - 7.

Here is Kelly's Sleep Cookie Recipe. 1st go to sleep on Monday and when you wake up on Wednesday start the recipe

1 can Canada Dry Ginger-ale (Not in the actual recipe but a must have to stay awake)

2/3 cup sugar
2 egg whites
1/3 tsp vanilla
Chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Beat egg whites. (Now is the time to take a big sip of Canada Dry...oh what the heck finish it you will not be up again for a couple of hours) Gradually add the sugar and vanilla until stiff and fold in the choc chips. Spoon out onto foiled covered tray. Turn off oven. Place tray in the oven and go back to bed and dream about Riding Shotgun with Bo Duke.....yee-hahh!

More of Donna's Recipes!

Like I said before Donna is a complete stranger to the kitchen. Donna use to be able to pull a pan of oreos from an oven and trick her kids by saying they were home made. Unfortunately for Donna; her kids are older and they do not fall for that anymore. Fortunately for her children she has found this great recipe!

Rice Krispy Treats

1/4 cup of butter
1 pkg. of marshmellows
6 cups of Rice Krispies

In large saucepan melt butter. Add marshmellows and continue to heat until they are melted. Once the marshmellows have melted remove from heat. Now for the tricky part (according to donna); stir in the rice krispies. Once the rice krispies are completely covered in the marshmellow mixture spoon into 9 x 13 pan that has been sprayed with Pam.

Cut into squares and enjoy. Check back for more of Donna's recipes!!
